Okay, since my thread in the XB360 forum failed, I'll ask here.

Alright, so I want to play my xbox on my pc monitor because it's a flat screen, and I'm figuring it would look alot nicer on here. It's not Widescreen, it's like a 17 inch I think. But I'm totally confused about what cords I need. I know there are these "vga" cables for the xbox which will allow one to hook a xbox up to a monitor, but all the vga cables I can find are "XBOX360 VGA HDAV". I'm completely confuse.

Any insight would help me. Alot. Like what I need and all.

They're the same thing. We call them VGA cables for the 360, but Microsoft calls them Xbox 360 VGA HD AV cables. They have the VGA end and red/white RCA audio cables on one end and the other end plugs into your 360.

Yeah, make sure you get the microsoft one though.  the 3rd party ones don't put enough shielding around the cable and you will see interference on screen.

You need a monitor that can support at least 1024X768.  Most monitors support at least that anyway.

Edit:  Actually, I just checked the resolutions  the 360 can support go down to 640X480.  If you want HD resolution though you need a monitor that supports at least 1280X720 16:9 or 1280X1024 4:3.

I use one with my TV, not a monitor.
