I just recently bought a gaming rig anf I have some questions. It comes with windows Vista Ultimate but can I play games made for windows XP. Also my utimate question can I run Crysis

My specs from what I can remember btw: Im new to pc gaming

500gb of memory

2gb of ram

Nvidia Geforce 8800

ATI Radeon

Dual-core Proccesor

As I specified I have windows Vista and I have Direct X 10

I see you found out what kind of GeForce it is. :P But yeah, the 8800 is a great card. You say you also have a Radeon, which doesn't make any sense. The GeForce series are graphics cards by Nvidia, while Radeon's are graphics cards from ATi. There's no way you can have both. Regardless, it's a great PC, and you'll be able to play any game released in the near future quite easily.

Yes, you can play games in vista that were made for XP, although there are still some driver and incompatibility issues that should be solved in the near future.

How can you have an 8800 and an ATI Radeon? Are you sure that is correct? Your 8800 will run crysis just fine.

yeah you should run crysis and any other game on max but you didn't list a processor but as long as its dual core it should be find and yeah you can play xp games on vista

I know I have GeForce 8800 Now ATI radeon not exactly sure.

I don't have Vista myself, but I think in general most games will work with it. I have heard of some compatibility issues however, so I would look into it before buying a game.
