I was thinking about stepping up my evga 320mb for a 640mb. Does the extra vram help the gpu last a little longer than the other. My PC is hooked up to a 32 in LCD tv in our exercise/computer room so I don't do a res over 1366x768 so I know that the xtra vram won't come in handy there. I was just wondering about life span. Thanks
Well, VRAM isn't just about resolution, it's also about textures, that's why you most likely will need to upgrade. Even some older games such as Quake 4 and Doom 3 need 512MB VRAM to run at Ultra Quality, just imagine what VRAM will Gears Of War or Crysis need to run at it's fullest...

Show me a benchmark where the 640 beats the 320 at that resolution.
