Just wanted to boast how great "Arctic Cooling" Thermal paste is....

My EVGA-8800gt was idleing at around 64'c with stock thermalpaste and heatsink / / so sayeth EVGA-Precision.

Ive overclocked it slightly, from 600-625core, and 900-950 Mem. and would keep failing during gameplay..

With just a $10.00 tube of "Arctic" thermal paste, my new idle temp is around 54-56c.

Quite an amazing difference just a little paste will do. And Ive gotten a lot out of 1 little tube. Used some for my CPU, and for my Laptop GPU & CPU both, AND still have plenty left over for atleast a new system build...

IF some are looking for a cheap and simple way to get a couple extra clocks out of thier Processors, $10 bucks and a little dab will do ya!

Not bad. I installed the AC Accelero L2 Pro with pre-applied MX-2 (20$) on my HD4850. Before it was idling at 56C and 85C on load, about 10 degrees hotter than it was in the first year of use (it's close to being 2 years old). And now the idle temp is 34C and load is 48-50C, depending on the game. The fan is also much quieter. I won't have to worry about the heat this summer when i'm playing games. Then in the fall will be upgrade time for Southern Islands or a 200$ 5850.
