Will this graphics card be able to meet the demands of newer FPS? I don't need to play them on the highest setting but I would like to be able to play new games for at least a year or two. I'm ordering a computer from Dell and this is the best graphics card I can get for the unit I'm looking at.

That card is ment for watching DVD's. You can play some older (2004 -2006) FPS on it with no issues. It should even run Crysis on low-medium settings. I would suggets you upgrade when you get a chance though.

Most definitely. I have a 2600pro and I can run all of the newer games on high if not max settings at 1280x1024 (besides Crysis). It is a great card as long as you do not pay more than $120 USD on it.

my ati x850 coupled with my gig of DDR ram and athalon xp 3200 could even rum crysis on low. If you have good ram and cpu to back up that card you shouldn't have trouble playing games like crysis.

Its a nice card (mine is Sapphire 2600 XT 512 GDDR3) and some games from LY runs pretty good . I played GOW, Bioshock, DMC 4 in mid-high settings with no issues. Half Life 2 and all episodes rocks with this card as they work best in ati cards. I played crysis in mid settings and it ran it smoothly. My config is not so good (Intel Pentium D 805 2.66x2, SATA2 HDD, 2 GB DDR 2 Transcend) even than it ran all the games pretty well. Go for it and you may get more better performance as your processor will be more recent than mine.
