Which one to get?

Can "Neither" be an option? Seriously there are better games out and coming out. I'd say wait for something worth the cash.

I paid 25 bucks for bulletstorm and really did not like it. I would recommend rage unless you can get bulletstorm for 10 bucks. It's painfully repetitive.
... for people who are bothered by it, there is a 150GB uncompressed texture pack being released Zubinen
150GBs ... daaamn!
Both are great from what I hear. I loved Bulletstorm, but that game had the weirdest game breaking glitches. Slow mo that never ends, inability to use the weapon select keys, inability to trigger certain set pieces and continue and all in one playthrough. It was a nightmare, but still a blast, and certainly not as bad as New Vegas (which I still loved).
RAGE released in a broken state, but from what I hear it works fine now. I'm downloading right now actually (damn slow 1mbps internet), but so far I hear good things. I'll report back if the thread is still active by the time I get my hands on it.

[QUOTE="mep69"]Trust me on this one, everything that can be wrong with a game is wrong with Rage. And MEGA TEXTURES..... what a joke. What is the point of something that only looks good from a distance. ZubinenThat's because the virtual textures are handled differently from standard repeating tiled textures, and so they suffer a lot more from compression(not to mention they require a lot of storage space). It has already been addressed that the issues people had with the textures up close are due to compression and that for people who are bothered by it, there is a 150GB uncompressed texture pack being released since the textures are currently compressed at 1:15 so it's worse than the following which uses 1:7 compression: http://s4.postimage.org/5w6igzfgk/Uncompressed.jpghttp://s4.postimage.org/5w7iut2bo/compresss.jpg
For starters i read that the 150 gb texture pack was just a rumor and ID denied it's release. That besides the point they should have in the 1st place made this game compatible with Pc users who waste their hard earned money on a pile of rubish, don't get me wrong i'm sure that the story is great and i'd enjoy it but ...... it's broken and beyond repair
infact herehttp://www.gamepur.com/news/5807-rage-pc-gamers-let-down-first-high-resolution-texture-pack-shows-no-difference.html there is no 150 gb patch.
and if you look at my PC specs; i spent over £2000 to play games that worked and this doesn't so don't buy it.

Do yourself a favor and do what i didn't, save your money on Rage.
And also just to let you know, for some reason gamespot wont let me add quick links in. Sorry tried for ages.
Bulletstorm is $16 on amazon.com right now. Maybe you could wait a couple of months you could get Rage when it gets under $30.Jd1680aWhy pay $16 when it's $8 elsewhere?:o
