Can someone tell me what these 2 things in the video settings do, Vertical synchronization and hardware skinning?

and does anyone think the game really doesnt look as good as they though it would? Its kind of blury and the textures on the guns and other thing like the wall arent very shrap looking.

i have a duo6600 8800gts 640 and 2g 800 ram btw

I Think the game looks great...Lower your Blur settings it help sharpen the edges. I do no that V/Sync will cap your frames in some games.

I think the bluring in this game kind of sucks, i just turn it off. So does anyone know what those 2 setting are for?

VSync helps prevent screen tearing (fluctuations in the display), it's basically holding back your video card to stay inline with your moniter (it can in a lot of cases cut your FPS in half), so keep it off unless you experience screen tearing.

O ya.. duh lol :) i know what vsync is. They just should call it that and not vertical synchronizaion than i would know what it is. So whats hardware skinning?

7) The HARDWARE SKINNING option in the video settings can be used to let your video card (GPU) handle the
skinning instead of your computer's processor(s) (CPU).

If you are experiencing a low framerate:

a) You should disable the HARDWARE SKINNING option if you have a high-end CPU and a lower-end GPU.

b) Otherwise, enable it to use your video card's processing power and give the extra power to your CPU. Readme

so i should turn it off or on?

And is this game laggy for most ppl? or is is just me.

i have it at 1280x960 and all high and med blur and i something get 30fps in big areas and only 50-70 indoor. seems low to me.

That's what you should be getting. Ubisoft did a crappy port.

vsync is for frame rate performance, put it on. IDK about hardware skinning.

Vsyinc will make you have half the framerate you should get... dont use it.

If ya have an SLI setup, ya can change the R6 exe to Unreal.exe for a huge fps increase
