I'm getting a new xps laptop with a 2gb gtx 960m and an i5-6300hq quad chip + 8gb ddr4 ram.

@XxAK47xX: gtx 960m is about 10% faster than a desktop 750ti nothing great. the cpu is a quad core at a decent clock no problem there. 8bg of ram is enough for 98% of games without taking a performance hit. that laptop would indeed run games at higher setting than a xbox one and ps4. if you don't own a gaming pc i would recommend building one over buying this laptop it would run game at a much higher setting.

Thanks for the info! I didn't buy the laptop for gaming, I bout it for school, hone and where ever. I wanted something portable. My next pc will be a desktop though. I feel my self wanting to transition to pc gaming

It's pretty entry level. You can probably fine a dual GPU laptop that use 960m's but not sure how optimization goes. These days I'd recommend 3GB vram and something better than entry level to get 60fps.
