Uh so if it doesn't work on their PC what then? You find that "amazing" but how does that help or resolve the issue for all of us in that situationbasersx
What then? Well the best course of events would be to do some troubleshooting with your config, rather than coming to a forum and declaring a game unplayable. Usually game problems that are experienced by a few are caused by inidividual config problems. If there are a large number of people experiencing the same issue then it's definitely a game problem. Most issues though are solved by a proper configuration of hardware and drivers.
PC's are not consoles with fixed hardware. You need to have an idea about how your PC can be configured in order to get the most compatible setup for the widest variety of games. If you don't have an idea, you'd be surprised how easy it is to learn with the power of Google.
I posted my system specs in order to illustrate that if you understand how your PC is setup you can run almost anything. I've got a (now) very low end machine and yet I still run most of the latest games at 1280x1024 res with medium settings and get decent frame rates of 30 fps or above. It's all about knowing how to get the best out of your machine, not just expecting everything to run without intervention.
YMMV

For most issues the following steps will solve the problem:
Download and install latest drivers for sound and video cards (use a driver cleaner to remove the old ones first)
Download and install the latest version of DirectX (search windows.com for the latest Dx redistribution package)
For sound issues reduce sound card acceleration using Windows>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio>Speaker Advanced settings>Performance
Turn off in game antialiasing and anisotropic filtering settings and use hardware settings through card drivers
Optional: Avoid the video card driver suites (i.e. ATi Catalyst control center), download and install drivers only and use a 3rd party control software such as ATi Tray Tools
