ok so  my computer kept crashing so i called tech support and they said that the ram was prolly defective so i took one stick out and tried to identify which 1 was. turns out he was right and i found the defective one. Today i go in to exchange the defective 1 and they give me a new stck of ddr2 800 memory and i put it into my comp. then what happens?? my computer doesent start up anymore. it goes to the windows loading screen and then it restarts again. When i take the new stic of ram out it works just fine.

Is this problem caused by the employees at cyberpower  not knowing what the hell they are doing and giving me incompatible ram(thats what my bro said)??? because i just noticed that even the brands on the 2 sticks are dfferent.. I just called them and they said bring in my whole computer so they can attempt to fix it. I REALLY REALLY DO NOT WANNA DRIVE THERE AGAIN so i was wondering if anyone could help me fix it instead.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

try one stick at a time and/or if the rams you have right now are rated at voltages above 1.8 try to get some cheap 1.8 volt ram and then use those to get into bios and change the vdimm voltages and switch back to the original ones

If it didnt accept it it wouldnt fit, and to the host, it may be that your new ram is faulty, thats a possibility, but its most likely a ram incompability issue. Some motherboards dont like some ram. Ok so try this, put your 512 in, set the volt to about what the other one needs, like 2.1 or something, then save and shut off. Put your new one in.

You can't fit DDR2 in a DDR slot or vise versa.

Get a refund, by some new DIMMs yourself and fit them in yourself. Can't trust generic shop goons.

I second that. RAM shouldn't be mixed and matched to start with. You should buy another indentical stick.

if youre ram was incompatible with your mobo, your computer wouldnt even turn on. so its prob a bad power supply, bad mobo, or wired up wrong, or bad drivers or direct x problem

I've had a similar problem with ordering from Cyberpowerpc.

The computer didn't even work out of the box, constant BSODS relating to memory errors, sent it back for repair and when it got back it wouldn't even BOOT ( long beep on power on ....means RAM problem )

Seems like cyberpowerpc doesn't have a damn clue what they are doing. I disputed the payment with the credit card company and I'm getting a full refund so I can build my own...

GET A REFUND from cyberpowerpc.

Btw, mine had the same mobo as your's, so it's most likely an issue with the mobo model. But still, get a refund instead of trying to work it out with cyberpowerpc, trust me.

DUDE I SWEAR AMEN TO EVERYTHING U JUST SAID. its just that ive owned it for longer than the refund time ( liek 3 months) although theyve had it in their shop because of repairs for half that time. Is there any other way i can get a refnd?
