So I'm gonig to be upgrading my RAM. I currently have 2x1 GB DDR2 (PC-5300 667 Mhz) and was hoping to add another 2x1 GB sticks of the same specs. Problem is, I've heard a lot online on how you shouldn't mix brands if you want dual channel to work. Would I be ok? It's exact same specs and everything.

If the memory has the same latencies, speed, and voltage requirements, then no, you wont have an issue running them in dual-channel mode.

The main concern with mixing brands is the potential for different timings and speeds which sometimes requires voltage tweaks, or in the worst case scenario, a drop-down in frequency. But if two different memory kits have the exact same specs, there wont be any issue mixing them.
