I was just wondering, would there ever be any benefit to moving CPU cache to a daughter RDRAM chip, a la the Xbox 360's Xenos GPU? I mean, we're 35+ years into the development of microprocessors, and we're still working with cache sizes of only a few megabytes. Daughter RDRAM seems like it would make sense, but I'm sure I haven't thought of something here. What are your thoughts?
