Need help deciding which is the better mouse,

The Razer Naga

OR the Saitek R.A.T 5

Im actually leaning more towards the RAT5 because I have owned 2 razer products already and im just not impressed with them, the Keyboard I have is the Razer lycosa and a year later the paint is kinda thinning out on the S button, abd the Razor deathadder 1800DPI edition which by the way is the most horrible product I have ever used.

This is the mouse im replaceing, I need to convince myself that I wont have the same problems with the Naga but im not so sure, the problems I had with the deathadder is that sometimes the middle mouse click and scroll wheel dont work and the rubber substance on the mouse peeled off which made a mess whenever I tried to clean it with a damp towel.

Ultimatly I dont have a huge budget $80 is the maximum, so I want to get the best bang for my buck.

The Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0 is the best mouse that I've ever used. You can use just one battery if you choose to, which makes it light as a feather. It feels like this mouse is just floating across the mousepad. Plus, it's wireless, and it's ergonomically perfect IMO... The only issues that I've had is that the paint on the buttons wore off after heavy use, and I had to put a new USB plug on the receiver. I had to return three of these before I figured out that the wires were breaking free from the USB plug on the inside. But even with the problems that I had, it's still the best mouse for first person shooters IMO...

Ever since I quit playing MMO games, I kind of regret purchasing a Naga. I mean, when I first bought it (the same time I played Warcarft) I convinced myself even if I were to quit WoW, I would still use the number grid thing on other RPG/Shooter games. I never did or do, it just doesn't really make things easier at all. Just my two sense, but if you are thinking of quitting playing MMO's or don't play them currently I would reccomend the naga. It's just a regular mouse with high DPI.

I actually found a good price on the R.A.T 7, I went with that instead of the 5, I hope that wont bite me in the end =p

BUT I have had nothing but problems with Razor products and only heard negative things about them from long time users. Im kinda glad im going back to saitek seeing my cyborg keyboard was the best dang keyboard I ever owned until I spilled jager on it so hopefully I didnt dig my own grave on this one.

wasnt sure if the naga had the same build quality as the Deathadder, was kinda hopeing to hear some peoples input on it but later on in the day I found out its made of the same material as the deathadder which peeled over time and didnt react to water correctly, also found that over time has the same middle mouse clicking problem which was the dealbreaker, that for me was enough not to buy it. That is why im asking because I wanst sure if the same things applied.

Razer doesn't make very durable products which I learned while researching for a new mouse and keyboard. Their products look good but don't stand up to constant handling. The cheap lacquer finsh on most of their products is easy to scratch. They should take some tips from Apple or TDK's scratch resistant plastic. This is the main reason why I steer clear of glossy hardware.

Yeah and I can tell you horror storys about pretty much every product name on the market but I am not gonna. I have had a Razer Naga for years and its still in perfect working order and is made with very high quality.
