So i built a PC that costed 1000$, rate it,give suggestions, or use it to help build your own PC!

*Note that i put in one of the best mobo's.It is because i am planning to upgrade. A cheaper mobo will make this come out to 1000$.

Evga nForce 790i motherboard

XFX geforce 9800 GT

I don't understand what are you thinking on upgrade that needs to have an expensive DDR3 motherboard, you should have gotten a better graphics card.

its just so i dont have to replace the mobo for a long time.

And the XFX 9800 is a decent card, and its one that fits the budget.

What graphics card can you reccommend for 150?

It's good, but personnaly, I would change the ddr3 to ddr2 as it's definatly not worth it yet. ddr2 outclass ddr3 ram in benchmark and in real life application like game you will notice 0 difference bethween ddr2 and ddr3. You could invest the money you will save into a better graphic card, because the 9800gt is a bit poor for a 1000$ budget, you can get a 4850 for 175 even less if you look at the sale.

That's definitely a nice rig, but I'm not sure that a $1000 machine really qualifies as a "budget" rig. Start getting it below $700 and we'll talk.

mobo only supports ddr3.

ddr3 currently is equal with ddr2. but ddr3 is the future.

And the graphics card can run almost anything aside from crysis. And i can play crysis on medium settings anyways.

E8500, GTX 260 Core 216, 4GB DDR2-800 (or DDR2-1066), P45 motherboard, 640GB HDD, much better investment imo

The future is triple channel not dual channel.

Nice PC althought they are right. You should have gone for a better GPU. The HD4850 totally beats that 9800GTS and DDR2 to save some money.

Fututre my *ss. That DDR2 can do a great job. Im assuming you got it some nice cooling right?

For $1000 bucks its alright. Could have gotten better deal though.

Since you got ddr3, you should have gotten either 3GB ram or 6GB ram as ddr3 is better in Triple Channel. Other than that, it's a nice build. Though you could have gotten ddr2 and a GTX 260 Core 216 which would have gotten you better results in games, but it's a fine rig. 8.5/10
