If you are maxing games, then there is no reason to upgrade. If you really, really want to blow money, you can upgrade the CPU to a Core 2 Quad. IDK if your motherboard will support it, so you may need to upgrade that as well. You can grab a 9800 GX2 if you're feeling really itchy.

Only thing to improve really is the CPU to a Quad core, unless you want an expensive high-end graphics card like the nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX. But you have very good power as it is, so I wouldn't recommend upgrading.

unless he buys a $1000 QX6850 upgrading to a quad core isn't going to improve at all unless when he says dual core he's refering to a pentium D

Well according to Intel, your mobo does not support the Core 2's, so to upgrade your CPU you will also need a new mobo. Your current RAM is DDR2 667, so at least you won't need new RAM if you go for it.

A Core 2 at any speed will be better than that Pentium D.

i really dnt wanna upgrade my cpu or mobo until i cant play games on extreme high

u think pentium D is so bad that i shld upgrade?

or my 8800gt will be ok with this rig?

also is my proc or mobo bottlenecking my gpu's performance?
