I found this for crazy cheap ($599) and am wondering if I should buy it or buy an actual "gaming computer". If I buy this will it play the best games and if so for how long? If its not any good let me know what could be better as I don't know alot about computer specs. Thanks!

AMD Phenom X4 Quad Core 95502.2GHz

8 GB PC2-6400 DDR2 SDRAM

1 TB HD SATA 7200 RPM

NVIDIA GeForce 9300 GE

Windows Vista Home Premium 64-Bit w/ SP1

It also has blu-ray and a burner ect.

yes that's extremely good. don't worry about playing the best games. that will last you for a long time. you may want to look into overclocking the processor though.

ok i've seen lots of these questions and everytime my answer is depends.

I need to know what kind of games you play. I can't just simply give you a yes or no answer because that computer might be good for somepeople but for others it might not. If you plan on playing crysis on the max and farcry 2 on the max or even very high then no that computer is not for you. But if you are someone who doesn't care much about crysis and plays games like warcraft 3 and other rts then that computer way excedes your needs. What games do you plan on playing when they are released? do you plan on playing starcraft 2 because if so then that computer is fine, if you plan on playing crysis 2 at max then probably not.

Get that PC, swap the video card out for like a GTX285 or something. Then you should be set for years.

Even the horrible 8600GT will beat that.

Hell even a 7600GT will shred it.

I'm more of a RTS player then anything, so if I can play star craft 2 when it comes out I'll be happy. And a honest question I have is how can you have TOO MUCH ram? Is more not better? Thanks for the input so far :)

No chance for Star Craft 2. You can't even run LOTR BFME II decently with that. And ram is pointless after a point, usually it is 4 GB, 6GB is some special cases.

The more ram the better, but its pointless if you want to game. Ram speeds up the PC. If you make your own 600$ PC you can play Star craft fine. But no you can not run starcraft 2.

See All the X32 (32 Bit OS) shows up not more then 3.25 GB available of Physical memory (RAM) ,Unless u install X64 OS , so its of no use if you go for more then 4GB of Physical RAM bcoz still its a matter of big issue that even still now most of the games and software wont run on 64BIT .
Dont waste your precious money in buying more memory instead u spend it on GPU , 4GB is more then sufficient.;)

1. Poor CPU - the original Phenom was basically a chip with cancer. Anything where enabling cool-n-quiet can halve performance needs a redesign. - 2. Why so much RAM? It's not bad to have memory, I'm just curious why you invested in lots of slow RAM, when AMD chips benefit greatly from low-latency memory in actual gaming? - 3. The GPU is... awful. Nothing short of awful. You cannot run *any* modern game at a playable frame-rate at 1280 x 1024. When you're talking about minimum-settings, minimum resolution just to go beyond slideshow, you need a *discrete* GPU. Please don't expect to game on an integrated GPU.

The guy has an *integrated graphics card* and people are worried about OC'ing the CPU? Seriously - least of this guy's problems, he needs a graphics card to *run games* before he should e worried about whether or not his CPU is limiting his framerates.
