Intel C2Q 2.66ghz (plannin to overclock to 3.2 ghz once I get my windows vista and test it out. I will get the Xigamatek HDT S1283 for this

Gigabyte x48 dQ6 mobo

Patriot pc2-6400 ram (800 mhz)

Pc power and cooling 750 watt psu CF rdy

It cost me about 1600. The only complaint I have is that with technology increasing so rapidly im sure its only a matter of time before this system is outdated

Very good setup.

problem is that my monitor isnt the best. Its only 17 inches I believe with a resolution of 1280 by 1024. Im thinking I should maybe hook my pc up to my 52" DLP TV since the GPU's came with an HDMI adapter. Thoughts?Snowboarder145

Well, I'd buy a new monitor... you're honestly wasting money on the 2nd card for a 17" monitor(CF is only really helpful at higher resolutions). You will probably see some stretching too on a 52" TV as well.

EDIT: Here's an AWESOME monitor for dirt cheap: Acer AL2216Wbd. It's 22" Widescreen and I love it!

hm. i probably will end up getting a new monitor. i work at bestbuy so i should be able to get the manager to get me a pretty dece discount. Im gonna let it wait a bit tho. This comp but a large hole in my wallet.

Just research about taking off the CrazyCool backplate because it will interfere with installing a backplate for your intended HSF. It can be removed but it is a hassle among other things. It was the same thing on the DQ6 which is what stopped me from getting it and just getting the DS4.

same as strifebringer, it has to be a 9/10, since there isnt, and there will NEVER be a perfect pc, but i have an idea of what it wold be if it was with todays standard: Skulltrail with DDR3 2k mhz and tri sli support for 3 GTX 280'sGTR2addict
