forgive the spelling of the headset, its probably wrong

Anyway I can get one of these for 50 bucks so I am enticed. The only thing I take issue with is that it is open air, so there is a bit of noise released to the surroundings. ATM is use razer Moray earbuds for basic listening and speakers for gaming, but I would use this for gaming and airplane rides.

Can I get an opinion from someone whose experienced these headphones on just how loud they are, because I like me some loud music (metalhead FTW)

anyother comments about the headset or suggestions are welcome, but know this, I have a strict budget for around this price range.

Thank you

For 50 dollars I'd snag them, they were worth the price for me when I paid 90 something at Best Buy. The sound quality is amazing. They're comfortable as hell too which is always a problem for me since I have large ears  . My fiance hates them though because she tries to talk to me while I play sometimes or our 3 month old son will wake up and I'll be non the wiser. I'd most def go for them, especially at that price.

Open back headphones are not suited for portable use, sound will leak in and out. Also how loud they are is entirely dependent on what voltage you input and so will differ due to source file and device, though if you know the output of your device you should be able to work it out from the specs they provide:

# Impedance: 32 Ω at 1kHz

# Sensitivity (@1kHz, 1V/Pa): 102 dB ± 4dB at 1 kHzMax

# Input Power: 200 mW

Get some proper headphones not a gaming headset. Take a look at the JVC HARX 700, they're said to be budget A900s over at head-fi. Ultrasone headphones are great for portable use but none of them are within your price range.

well I'm mostly going to use them for gaming. I will probly only use them on airplanes or car rides 4 times a year.

But is that sound interference a big problem? I'm used to the sound isolation I get with my in ear morays? how do they compare with that?

I need a gaming headset tho cause I want a mic attached to the headset, leaning over to talk into a crappy mic annoys me to no end. Plus, I may as well get something good because I'm going to be stuck listening to them.

For God's sake do not take an open headset on an airplane or I will come to your house and beat you in the head.

They're great headphones but i don't think they're suitable for portable use.
