Well I cant say if rainbow six is buggy... I have the xbox 360 version. But it is realistic.
And how is Rainbow Six vegas anyways? Is it really really buggy?

Physics, I can't help you on that one. Gameplay? NO with a capital Q.
Stalker and F.E.A.R in fact are far from being close to realistic, so is Vegas. Vegas especially when compared to the first to Rainbow Sixs.
So how is Vegas different? Is it more like UT where a single player can kill 10 others at once?Physics, I can't help you on that one. Gameplay? NO with a capital Q.

Nono, not at all. I guess you can say at these standards that yes its realistic. However, in the past, realism was taken much more serious which is relevant in the first two Rainbow six games (same about the first Ghost recon). Around that same time were created two games: Armed Assault and Operation: Flashpoint.
These two games are the grail of realism. You get shot in the leg and you have to crawl until a medic stiches you up. You get shot in the arm and you can't use a gun. Much combat is more in the open and over distance and you have to work as a team. I would recommend you try out the demos of each game (the many rainbow sixs and all the games we posters listed). I know fileshack.com has most of the demos (I know, I played them :)).

I played all of the Rainbow six games up to and including raven shield. So how is Vegas different? Like how does the weapons function and the combat go? Can people run around and spray 20 people down? Does the accuracy system of the old R6 games still apply? I really want a realistic shooter and I don't see any better options than Vegas, but again that thing is a bad port by UBI, which makes me pissed as if I were a second class citizen to the console gamers.[QUOTE="ZJI"][QUOTE="ArcticSnake"]Operation: Flashpoint.
ArcticSnake
took the words right out of my mouth the game is pretty dated now but if your not one for looks and want a complete realistic experience O.F. is the game for you
For realism join the military for good PC fps shooters try BF2, CoD series, GRAW, GRAW2, R6Vblah blah etc..
STALKER yes....Fear not at all.
But if you want a Realistic shooter....try Armed Assault, or Red Orchestra.
cobrax25
I would not tread on Red Ochestra, that game is realistic to the point of painful and unenjoyable. Try the numerous Tom Clancy games from Rainbow 6, GRAW, etc etc.
STALKER is realistic in some aspects but not so much in others. When you kill a creature that is running it drops in a realistic way. The amount of ammo you use is fairly accurately protrayed, you use more ammo at the beginning and your aim and equipment get better the further into the game you go, so you use less ammo. There are other things that give it some realism but you'd just have to play it an see how you feel about the game.
FEAR isn't even close to realistic but it is very fun.
Rainbow Six Vegas is realistic in it's use of tactics. The firearms and some of the other features such as rappeling are fairly realistic. I had a lot of fun playing this one in co-op mode.
I'm going to seal my decision to pass that game. I always liked the R6 series but looking at the complaints on the official forums scares me away.Rainbow Six Vegas is realistic in it's use of tactics. thanatose
try counter strike source or day of defeat sourcepill922
These games are realistic like Quake and Unreal Tournament are realistic.
How is call of duty 2?ZJI
Other than using iron-sights, not very realistic at all.

its an awesome game mate, its just different to the other r6's which is where alot of the complaints come from (i preferred those too btw) and it doesnt do too much to set it apart from the competition but it still does come out being a great fun fps that is well worth the money. people on here dont know how to post without bias thats all

Physics are realistic in FEAR, but the gameplay certainly isn't.
I found that the weapons were more realistic in STALKER.
Rainbow Six is excellent, and although i haven't come across any bugs, the game is very poorly optimised for the PC.
[QUOTE="ZJI"]Ok, I'm going to go down a notch. Which game has decent graphics and is as realistic as CS?Paddy1990
why do you think counter strike is realistic?
It's impossible to find an FPS that is both realistic and has good graphics. So I have to move down a notch.[QUOTE="Paddy1990"][QUOTE="ZJI"]Ok, I'm going to go down a notch. Which game has decent graphics and is as realistic as CS?ZJI

Like people have allready mentioned, try America's Army. Its free, has better graphics than CS1.6, plays similarly to CS, and is much more realistic than CS.
CS is not a realistic game. Its an action game that should be lumped into the same category as games like FarCry, FEAR, and Call of Duty.

How is BF2142? And is there anything that is close to it's level of realism but with better graphics?

I was talking about CS:S, it is just as unrealistic as the original right? I haven't played the original so I don't know.
So is the PC version of Vegas exactly the same as the X360 but buggier and lags? Or did they make changes like with GRAW2, the pc version being more complicated and improved?
