i already have ArmA 3 alpha, and RO2, but i want a game that is both modern (like ArmA) and has smaller concentrated battles (like RO2), i heard America's Army 3 was like that, but it's so old i don'tknow if any1 plays it anymore.

so do u have suggestions or am i stuck with what i've got now?

if you want only multiplayer then yes you have everything. if you dont mind an incredibly short singeplayer game OPFP2: Dragon rising. its actually pretty bad compared to ARMA II if you look at only the gameplay and the singleplayer length but the visual and audio quality is far superior imo

i believe insurgency is kinda realistic, you can try the mod version on steam,.

or buy the early access version on steam.

Realistic FPS aren't popular, so yes, you're "stuck" with Arma and RO.

You could, however, try out Brothers in Arms if you haven't yet.

edit: just seen you're looking for "modern" - yea, America's Army might be your only other option.

edit 2: forgot about Advanced Warfigher:

Note that the PC version is more realistic and tactical than the console one.

I would forget about the 'modern' part and you'll have some nice choices.

Rainbow 6 games (Raven Shield and earlier) check out the Raven Shield 2.0 mod

Ghost Recon 1 (some really good mods like Heroes Unleashed)

SWAT 3/4 (Sheriff's Special Forces mod)

Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis & Resistance expansion (AMAZING SP campaign)

I'd add Close Combat: First to Fight to the list:

Might be what TC is looking for.

It's also more boring.  I'd stick with Ghost Recon or Xbox 360 multiplayer GRAW.  Or just play Ostfront, we need more Ostfront players!

I'd advise you to get INSURGENCY (the retail version if you like the mod), it's pretty fun and while still obviously an alpha it's better than several other games out there.

I've heard good things about SpecOps:The Line . Although it is a 3rd person shooter, but set in modern day .

Try Ghost Recon (the original), SWAT 3/4 or Rainbow Six Raven Shield / Rogue Spear.

Yeah, it's actually still great. Surprisingly enough the best singleplayer campaign Bohermia has made, still.
