I don't know whether this is off topic or not, but I have nowhere else to go seeing as many other sites cant help me.

I've been having this problem with my pc's Surround sound system since i bought it, which was about a year and a half ago. it has Realtek HD audio for use with the surround system, and the problem is when im recording something, like using FRAPS to record game videos or using a microphone to record voice, and play the video/sound back, the audio comes out REALLY quiet, like it came straight out of a pocket radio. Here is a link to a video of me playing Doom 3 recorded with FRAPS:

you will notice that even on max volume, it still sounds quiet and Radio-like. I don't know what to do. Can anybody help?

If this was any other site that would't ban me for any petty insult I would unleash a world of hate upon you right now. But if I get banned I can't help others.

You shouldn't expect help from gamespot? You understand this is just a group of hardware enthusiasts right? Not employees?

We give you an answer to take it to support since nobody here knows about it. Stop being such a jackass and get off your lazy ass and ring them.

i totally could have helped you as im an audiophile, but with rude comments like that nevermind, i'll leave it up to you to deduce and figure out. have fun learning about the wonderful and in depth world of audio recording.
