- Huge selection of games (old and new, mainstream and indie)
- Hundreds if not thousands of options for controls... Keyboard and Mouse or any of the many controllers out there.
- Mods: They can add so much to certain games its unreal
- Custimization: Can upgrade when you want... once a year? Thats fine, Once every 4 years? Thats fine to. Once a month? Fine to!
- Steam: great sales, good UI, reliable,etc..
- DIgital Download sales: D2D, Steam, Impulse, Gamersgate, GOG.com,etc.. all have alot of sales. Hell I bought my cousin (who was new to pc gaming) 16% worth of games during last years xmas sale... that 16$ got him 7 games (one of which was still 49$ for consoles at the store).
Since you looking forward to Diablo 3 check out Titan Quest + the expansion the best action rpg besides diablo. Other good action rpg on the pc are Fate,Divine Divinity, and Torchlight the pc has a large abundance of these sorts of games you should also look into upcoming games like grim dawn(from the makers of Titan Quest) and torchlight 2.

Cosign what DJ said, if you are looking forward to Diablo3 then pick up Titan Quest or Divine Divinity (One is online coop and other is more singleplayer with better story,etc..).
Also its not to late to give Diablo2 and its expansion pack a go ;)
...see what I mean you guys are great! thanks I might get into this then. counter strike looks pretty cool but I'm prepared to get muerdered for a month straight.BluesKing527everyone starts somewhere, it's best to get thrown into the meat grinder right away :P
I think it would just be easier to make a list of reasons to not play on pc... a list of reasons would be way too long :P

yup, Counterstrike has some very tough competition but hey its still very fun, even when I have horrible Kill to Death stats :P
Best way to get better is to get thrown in the middle of things as Wis3boi said, with time youll improve :P
I cant think of a reason not to play on the pc. It is more expensive, but its some of the best money i ever spent, I love having a high end gaming rig hooked to a 52 1080p. I have been a console gamer for 20 years, and I hardely ever play them anymore. From this point on I dont think I will never not have a gaming rig.
Yeah I think that's what I'm interested in. Seeing as how I'm gonna try to make a beast of a PC. I know their is website that list an extreme PC build which I'm looking at. That way I can run some games at high resolutions(or is that a monitor thing) while being able to have a computer that just does everything nicely.I cant think of a reason not to play on the pc. here is the main reason i now mostly game on pc and rarely use my ps3. i bought a laptop with a nvidia 8800m gts 512mb video card a few years ago. i compared batman arkham asylum (ps3) and borderlands(xbox 360) to the pc versions of those games and was blown away by how much better they looked on my laptop plugged into the same 42 in. 1080p hdtv that the conosles were plugged into. that was literally the only thing at the time that made me fascinated with pc gaming and i have never looked back since then.

Just post in the pc hardware forum and ask about the build. Honestly they are very easy to build, make sure you get a quality case and power supply.I cant think of a reason not to play on the pc. I only recently made the transition, I will be getting an Xbox again soon (I moved to Canada and had to sell mine) but that's for exclusives and other various television based activities, gaming my PC is better than I ever could have hoped for, gaming on a PC is so much of a nicer activity, and when you aren't gaming there are literally millions of other things to do on a PC
i have an xbox and i have a pc, i only play 4 games for my xbox...2 of them being CoD titles, everyone compains that "PC gaming is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive" which isn't the case, i personally choose to upgrade my pc once every 3 years, which is about how often you have to replace a console, plus, MOST (not all) games are cheaper for PC...and if they dont start out cheap, the prices drop quickly
I'm upgrading my weak PC (which is like 9 years old) and I'm thinking I have a pretty high budget bu should I use it to play games because frankly I'm getting tired of my xbox, PS3 doesn't really interest me and I'm usually just enjoying my ninty consoles righ and with the Wii U most likely getting multiplats I'm pretty much done with those which leaves me with the PC. I mean I enjoyed immensely World of Warcraft...and that's the only game I played but it was fun. Is Blizzard that good to keep me happy. Especially with Diablo 3 comin soon and I love looting games like that. So anything else to make me go YES I play on PC for this reason. Thanks for the help. I know you guys are really helpful with stuff like this unlike the other forums :pBluesKing527
Grab you mouse and become a killing machine!!!:D
Battlefield 3, Modern War 3, Gears of War, so many of them
