Reccomendation on historic games

Hiya all, I enjoy history and love to play historic games which involve Romans, Vikings, British History or anything like that! I'm a fan of Age of Empires but getting a bit tedious lately. Can you recommend me any games I can get like this which I would enjoy?

Bearing in mind I want real history and not fake stuff involved mysterious creatures like dragons etc.

Also, try the demoes for both of those before you get them.
