I never got into guild wars back when it came out but I am super hyped for GW2 so i decided to give GW a shot and I am loving it. The only thing is i dont really know how to get the full potential out of my character. I have a Ranger/Monk so if anyone here could tell me any builds i could use for my character i would appreciate it.

full potential of a r/mo

initially you wont use your monk side much.. mainly for the infinite use of a ressurection spell of your choice

ranger wise a preperation is always a must and something spamable is also a good idea finally troll ungent is invalulable.. its heals so well you almsot dont need anything else. maxed out ungent does like + 8 hp regen (at least it didnt i ahvent played in a bit)

in pvp traps, spirits and interrupts are must.. pve wise you wont use traps all that often, spirits generally take to long to be of value and interrupts.. uncommon but they do get used

here was a nice build i made a while back for a r/mo

barrage/melandru's shot/broad head arrow

troll ungent

apply poison/kindle arrows/read the wind

ressurection skill of choice (i personnaly like rebirth or ressurect)

distracting shot

hunters shot

marauders shot

savage shot

feel free to take out marauders and distracting shot for your pet and a pet healing skill or hunters shot for whirling defense or slightning reflexes

assign attributes as you see fit but lot sof points involved in amrkmanship and wilderness survival

Here are some guidelines for builds.

http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

By no means are these builds perfect. You should always be considering 'How can I help my team?' when making your skill bar.

For your ranger, I would recommend [3] attack skills [1] interupting [1] attack buff [1] condition/hex removal [1] rez skill. That leaves 1 slot left to play around with.

The poster above has the detailed link I was going to give

Oh, and by the way, EVERY GW player should have this link on their bookmarks:

http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

thats the Bible of GW

notice the link to pvx.wikia is on their as well.....

If you team up with people, unfortunately they often insist you have a Ranger/Ritualist "Splinter Barrage" Ranger, which means you need to have Factions as well.
