WoW - most fun

LOTRO - great lore almost as fun as WoW

AoC - taste of the day, great hype, nice graphics if you have a nice system, don't listen to all the fan boys about the "innovative" fighting system, it just like LOTRO and WoW

EQII - often forgotten but still a very good game that's polished with a huge world and tons of classes

i know someone already answered your question, i just wanted to add on. i heard about a game called crime craft, which is an mmorpg, but instead of being set in the world of fantasy, it's set in modern day. one mission will be to rob a bank, instead of what you would do in a game a like WoW( like looting a dungeon). sadly it's not out yet, but keep your eyes on it if your interested, as it said on the website, coming soon.

I like SWG even though its almost dead, But yeah LOTR online is good, but I found WoW very childish (now there going to be a million WoW defenders around)

WoW is most fun to play because there are lots of ppl to interact with , and you get arround 6-7 months of gameplay and fun before it gets boorig , except if youre a wow freak by then

AoC is new MMORPG so it probably has some nice inovations , lots of gore and there are less kids playing it than in other games , allso less players because its a new game .

LOTR is nice if youre lotr fan , quite nice ammount of ppl are playing it too so guarantees some fun .

or you just wait for Warhammer online to get in stores , that will probably be best mmorpg when it comes out .New kind of gameplay , gore , graphics , lots of fans and players . And allso its a Warhammer game ;)

i havent played AoC but its much more different than WoW

in WoW when you play a enh shammy right click and wait for windfury..rogue SS SS SS SS evis

but in AoC they actually make you pay attention,and yes it is different

it took WoW 4 year to get 10 mil people and AoC has been out for like 2 weeks and its at 500k

How much are the guys paying you to go around spreading the word about this game? Another thing when you said about the quest you said "go hunt 10 monsters..." so is every quest just a fetch quest, alos how many types of armor for just 1 lvl for 1 race in 1 race are there, I hate being just a clone, can you like make them in different colours? What about just the character customization, and can you mount animals and have mounted battles?

World of Warcraft - Most fun, great lore, amazing PVE and good PVP

AoC - Great game but it's not tottally finished yet from what I hear despite it being out, high system reqs... Nothing really innovative and really just a flavor of the month.

EQ2 - Good game but for the hardcore only

A perfect example of one of the worst aspects of WoW, the little kiddies. Not forgetting it's an all around god awful game. Lotr is like a slightly better version, but still one to avoid. AoC or Ao depending on your preferences. Or wait for Warhammer, Stargate.

I'm currently playing City of Heroes, it's a mmorpg that seems to have been forgotten around these forums, although the games population is still very nice. It's a great game, and what I like best about it is that you will never come across another character that looks like you. It has one of the best character creation of any game out there imo.

I was never a fan of Guild Wars, something about it just felt off to me.

Pirates of the Burning Sea is a very differen't kind of MMO. It's fun, but has a significant learning curve because it's so different. I think it's gonna end up fairly niche though (like EvE). I enjoyed it, but a lot of it's end-game stuff conflicts with my kind of play-style.

AoC: Just started playing it last week. It's fun. It definitely feels more active than WoW despite what the 5year old says. If you want to be in on the next big one, I think this might be it. It's marketed well, has many of the factors that hook people, etc.

City of Heroes: My 1st MMO like 5 years ago and I LOVED it, got really hooked. In comparison, it's fairly grind-like and has a more vicious death penalty. There's no denying that the whole character creator and superhero thing is fun.

WoW: You've probably heard everything there is to hear about it. The community is NOT fun (see kiddo earlier)... of course, any game with 10+ million people is going to have its share of morons. WoW is a weird beast.... it grabs you and consumes you, but whenever you step back and look at what you were doing you go, "Why?" Why am I just farming for hours so that I can actually go do the fun thing I wanna do? Weird for me and made me quit.

Pretty sure we don't need you to be a hall monitor, mmk?

Guild Wars and LotRO are the best, and Warhammer will be amazing.
