Looking to for something to replace my current TN panel, do not want another TN panel. 24" to 32" would be nice, will be using it for gaming/movies mostly. Will also be connecting consoles to it. Any recommendations? Anything coming out within the next year worth waiting for?

How much are you looking to spend? Going for another TN panel or are you looking for a different panel type?

EDIT: Scratch that last part, you said you didn't want TN. :P, I need to slow down when reading.

Budget?

Either way: here's a good resource for figuring out what your options are as far as IPS panels. Be sure to read up on customer reviews.

If you do fall for another TN panel due to a restriction in your budget, then I would recommend the 24" 1080p BenQ G2420HDBL. Its so nice. Otherwise, I can't help much.

I have a westinghouse tn monitor that I bought about 3 years ago, I don't know if TN panels have gotten better since then but this one sucks. The viewing angels are terrible, and I sit directly in front of it! The contrast will change even slightly, and the top is always so dark I can't see stuff in dark games. Again I'm not sure if this is just a crappy old panel, and if TN technology has improved?

I would recommend this if you think you'd might want a TN panel. Some friends of mine and I have been using Sceptre monitors and have been very pleased with them. Apparently their new 27" model is a great value, and there is a very in depth analysis of it there. That might give you an idea of where TN panels are these days. I can tell you it also depends what brand you get. The 24" Sceptre I have currently has very even backlighting and contrast, as well as good viewing angles. The brand that seems the worse is Hanns-G. Every monitor I've seen of that brand has had very uneven backlighting, very bright around the edges.
