Recommend me a good FREE software to keep track of my CPU. And also, should I use Prime 95 or Intel Burn Test?

CoreTemp for temps and what not. CPU-z for everything else CPU related. I personally use Prime95 for testing.
[QUOTE="greenjackal"]Check out this website gamingrigoptimization.webs.com/ It has links to popular apps for tracking CPU and GPU temps and some other things you can do to make your computer run games better. Cheers.kraken2109Not meant to advertise on this forum. Coretemp, HWmonitor, Speedfan, etc for CPU MSI afterburner, evga precision, GPU-Z for GPU
This. I use Afterburner and Coretemp.
SpeedFan is the best one out there. Speedfan will tell you all system temps and even allow you to set speeds for your cpu fan based off of temp. This means it will slow down when not under load and speed up under heavy gaming. It's pretty much a more advanced version of all the other cpu monitoring programs, heck even lets you control gpu fan speed based on temp.
Well speedfan is known for giving you incorrect temperatures.SpeedFan is the best one out there. So is every other program out there... as far as I am aware it's giving me the same temps as the other programs.

SpeedFan is currently giving me a CPU temp of -60c. My liquid cooler isn't that good.

Yeah that reading is quite screwed. My computer would likely be flying around the house with a GPU fan speed of 750695 RPM. They peak at 2100 which wasn't even the speed I had them set at, though they're known to give out higher RPM readings when they're not set to 100%. 750k is well off the 2700RPM that I get with other fan monitors.

No idea why it isn't giving you the correct readings but I guess it isn't for everyone. But if it works for you it's the best program around for it.
I am not having any issues using it and it allows me to let my fans control themselves without a fan controller so unless the other programs start offering these features they're useless/downgrades to me...

I let my motherboard control my fans. They're set to run at certain speeds depending on the temps on the GPU or CPU, and inside the chassis. Fan controller software and hardware is pretty much useles me. Conflict with the automatic fan control in the BIOS is probably the cause to the weird readings that SpeedFan gives. The temps are something else. AIDA64 gives me correct speeds and temps.
