Recommend me a FPS (Read before you post)

I tried Crysis Demo,the graphical bugs are getting worse so thats out of the question.

I tried UT3 but even on average difficulty its hard to get any good since the AI is friggin' godlike and i can't sneak or crouch so i can't kill a single guy with coming out half-dead (Though i'm a n00b to UT3)

I HATE HATE HATE Call of Duty so DON'T even recommend any of them,not a fan of ANY Linear FPS really...

Pick up The Orange Box. Has some great stuff on it. You also sound like you are into Single-player FPS's more than the multiplayer. A patch will come out for Crysis soon, and I highly reccomend it. There are so many cool ways to take down enemies in that game, and it has a sandbox editor.jazilla

And i don't know how to use the sandbox editor in Crysis Demo,there ain't no damn tutorial.

A lot of people here obviously DON'T know how to READ,i said NO LINEAR FPS'es!

There are not many non-linear FPS games, so suck it up. Bioshock is great and so are the half life games. You need to play STALKER if you want non-linear, it is great and also has RPG elements.

Indestructible, I ordered my PC and you have one very similar, I'll help you out.

Far Cry is an awesome FPS that's 100% open-ended. It has great graphics (even though it's almost 4 years old) and has awesome stealth mechanics. It is an awesome experience, to say the least. STALKER was also supposed to be open-ended. You also may find somethning to like in Oblivion, not a shooter, but an open-ended F-rst person game nontheless.

I think it's a shame you dislike linear games so much, because Half-Life 2 is just exactly that, and ifyou haven't experienced that game, then I pity you.

Depends on what u want for non linear game, most non linear games have a linear storyline and most of non linear shooter with non linear story suck except for STALKER (probably the only one) Also try demos of linear games (usually more cinematic) cuz if not it will ve extremely difficult for you to find a good game

BTW no STALKER demo

Give Crysis another try, changing textures, quality, water, drivers...because u dont know what u are missing especially if u want nonlinear....

Also try Far Cry

Try Online shooters such as FEAR MP (free)or practice at UT because itll be fun once u adapt to the uber fast gameplay at it

Good call. This game is kinda sloppy but if the Thread Kreator is tired of the standard FPS then he may enjoy this one. I don't believe there is a demo for it, unfortunately.

CoD 4, short single player but it is definitly checking out, MP is great with all the unlocks and ranks, im already rank 55.

The Orange Box, Great variety of games so there is bound tobe somthing that you like.

If you think linear means generic, then you're missing out on a LOT of great games like Orange Box. But who am I to change your mind...

Anyway, if you want a non-linear FPS, the best you're gonna get is probably Crysis. Give it another try, if you still hate it go with Far Cry or STALKER.

try playing JediKnight series are extreamly fun and are somewhat a fps.

Also try FEAR is very funny and creepy.
