Recommend me a good Adventure game.

The pinnacle of the genre

If you enjoyed the Monkey Island series, you should definitely try the Sam And Max series. It's really funny and the gameplay is like Monkey Island.

Greatest adventure games i've ever played:

The Longest Journey (Greatest adventure game ever made 10/10)

Dreamfall (fantastic game 9/10)

Syberia (second greatest adventure game ever made 9.9/10)

Syberia II (great game 8.5/10)

And then there's the Sam&Max series (there's a new current gen series and a old one)

I suggest you start with the new one, because the old one could be a bit tricky to get it to work.

Sam&Max Season One (which contains 6 episodes, a.k.a games, with a good story and a lot of comedic value)

Sam&Max Season Two (same thing, different episodes, equally worth it)

And then there's my favorite Sam&Max game of all time, which is a old one from '93 ->

Sam&Max Hit the Road (greatest S&M game, for me at least)

Oh yeah, and there's Sanitarium.

A horror/psychological adventure game with beautiful izometric graphics, and a detailed world and story.

So many good new ones! Just don't pay attention to the GS review, check out other reviews too. GS tends to underrate these games.

Why don't you say what kind of games would you like? First person, point and click, serious or goofy ones like Sam and Max or Monkey Island. I'm deadly serious about adventure games.

There are tons of great adventure games. I highly rate:

The Lost Crown: A ghost hunting adventure - Very spooky with a fantastic story.

Scratches (directors cut) - Scary

Monkey Island 2 - Pee your pants with the one liners, but has again a great story line behind it.

Sam and Max - As above.

Darkness Within - Cthulhu mythos inspired

Gabriel Knight Series - A classic collection

Farenheit (Indigo Prophecy) - An interactive tale with a great and gruesome story.

Darkfall - More spooky

Lost Horizon - Indy style adventuring

Broken Sword Series - As Above

Still Life - Detective slasher tale over 2 generations

I could go on ad nauseum, but they're the ones off the top of my noggin.

While not similar to the ones you gave as an example, I must recommend Beyond Good and Evil.

The Longest Journey is fun, the gog version has a guide by the way, and the one I like the most. Another good Isometric one is Sanitarium. A first person one would be Amnesia (its an adventure/horror hybrid).

I found "Tony Tough & the Night of roasted moths" to be quite hilarious and I think it's definitely a game that fans of LucasArts classics like "Day of the Tentacle" and "Monkey Island" can enjoy. Check it out if you get the chance!
