Recommend me a good SSD.

I'm planning on adding a 100-ish GB SSD for my desktop. When it comes to SSD I'm rather clueless about the brands. What are some of the best SSDs around this range, and what are some of the most affordable ones?

Intel and Corsair are 2 trusty brands.

Crucial is a good brand. The easy way is to see the rating on Newegg. Obviously OCZ is pretty bad, but, cheap.magicalclick

Intel are the great in terms of quality, while Kingston are great in terms of value.

One that tells you the read and write speeds, try to get one where both are 500mbps or more, Here is one i would like to buy. It's just over £1 per gigabyte and is fast.

Intel SSDs have always been and still are the best. Don't go by advertised specs, go by user reviewers. Just look at how many 1 egg ratings the Vertex 3 has. I'm still using my Intel 320 without issue

The ONLY thing that matters is reliability. Pretty much every SSD today has similar performance and you'll only notice a difference in synthetic benchmark results.

Apparently Intel is tough as diamonds with ssd, but the $:size/performance is much steeper.
