Recommend me a new GPU since my current broke.

So my Nvidia 9800gx2 has busted and since I have done some tweaking to it the warranty no longer applies.

Can anyone recommend me a new good gpu thats no pricier than 250Euro. So far Im thinking about Nvidia gtx275. IDC much about the dx11 cards so dont bother telling me to wait for them.

The games I play are not that demanding where Modern Warfare 2 is my highest demanding game. Other than that I plan to get Alien vs Predator 3 and Starcraft 2. I hope to max out those games with my new GPU. Also, since Im gonna use my 46" Sharp Aquos HD tv as monitor it is somewhat important that the new GPU has DVI out.

My system specs: Intel C2D E8400 3gHz OC @ 3.8gHz, Gigabyte GA-ex4-dq6 MB (PCI-E 2.0 // PCI-E 16x), Corsair 520W PSU, OCZ Reaper HPC 4gb Ram, Samsung 500gb HDD 32mb cashe.

If you're set on nvidia make sure you get an evga and don't throw our warranty out.

I just sent back an old 7950GT 256mb that died and they sent me a replacement 9800GTX! Brought life back into my bro's old 4200+, and 2GB DDR2 system.

I think the Radeon 5850 is probably the best video card out there for the money. Extremely powerful, runs cool, and quiet.

And as far as brands go, I think Sapphire is the best for ATI cards, but any reputable brand is fine.

GTX 275 is a good choice; I'm rockin' it now. They've been really weird about the card pricing lately. I got it for $230, then it avg'd about $250 on the market for a month or so, now it's up to like $270.. Mine is also from EVGA so yeah.. the tuner that EVGA provides makes for easy overclocking and fanspeed controlling. I play modern warfare 2 maxed out with everything on high at a 1920 x 1080 reso. The card comes with dual DVI, so you should be fine in that department as well.

Keep in mind, card is a BEAST. Like, physically a beast. I think it spans about 10.5 inches? Make sure you have the space. I had to mod my case and some cords just to make it fit.. and it's not like I have a slimline case or anything like that either. Also, the card requires ( so it says.. when I bought it the req' W usage was 450 ) a 550W PSU.

Get the HD5850 and u should be great as its 40nm and consumes very less power compared to Gtx275 and it will run on ur psu :D

Get the one from XFX they ve life time warranty and even if u burn it they will replace it :D

The ATI's are better in both cases.

Did some resarch on HD5850 and it looks like the card Im gonna buy, still it is nowhere to be found :S
