I've had the same pc for about 10 years so I never really got to play many pc games. This is my new computer's specs, I've finished playing Spore, Football Manager 2012, and currently playing The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition. I don't fancy strategy games like Red Alert and horror games. I'm mainly looking for big titles that can be supported by my pc but if you want to suggest something not that famous I'll gladly check it out on youtube. Thank you.

If you liked Football Manager 2012, you can try FIFA Manager 2012. Very similar but gives you more control of the club. If you liked Monkey Island, I recommend the RUNAWAY Series.

To be honest I've just downloaded games that I think my pc can handle and I don't really know great games that were on pc over the years. I play Football Manager because I've been a fan since Football Manager 3 but Runaway looks really promising especially since I am enjoying Monkey Island. I will check it out thanks

Well it doesn't have to be famous but I played Bioshock on xbox and I seriously doubt Call of Duty will be playable on my computer specs even Bioshock for that matter.

BioShock probably not. Call of Duty 1-4 would work on your PC. Maybe Modern Warfare 2, maybe.

Also the Broken Sword Series is pretty good (same as Monkey Island style gameplay). I believe there is a HD remastered special edition out.

Minecraft (block building sandbox), Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (3rd person RPG), Mount and Blade (realistic medieval RPG), and Deus Ex (Sci-fi shooter/RPG) are some very well received games that could run on your PC.

I was gonna say that. I carry broken sword 1 & 2 in my netbook everytime i go around.

The remastered edition got some puzzles and it's remastered.. well some parts, there's a noticeable contrast.

Broken Sword looks good too, but i'll probably have to decide between Runaway and Broken Sword, too much of these games might take a toll on my brain.

Nahh, never been a fan of Half Life, to some that's a crime but I like man vs man not so much man vs monster.

Minecraft seems to be a big hit but the graphics (I know it's meant to be like that), I can't get over it. Even KOTOR, one of my friends said it was the best RPG ever back then but I couldn't play it, I don't know if I would enjoy the graphics now. I enjoy real time RPG as opposed to turn based RPG like KOTOR (Not sure if I'm using the right terms). Mount and Blade looks good, graphics are okay and it's real time, I will check it out. I played Deus Ex: Human Revolution, it was good but Deus Ex's graphics are too old. Sorry I shot down most of your recommendations but I will check out Minecraft, KOTOR and Mount & Blade on youtube again. Thanks.

I can't tell you how happy I was to see you say Diablo 3! But do I need a fast internet connection to play the campaign? This also makes Guild Wars out of the question as my internet is probably to slow to play an MMORPG. As for Modern Warfare, I only enjoy playing it online not so much the campaign so that's out too.

diablo 3 and guilddwars both dont require very good internet connections. guildwars has no horrid program like pando chaining it down or w/e as a result its possible to play guildwars 1 on a 56k dial-up connection. granted it would be pretty laggy in say giant raid events like urgoz warren or teh deep. but its still playable.

id also like to point out that diablo 3 can be played without others :P and it runs better on basic amd apu's like yours than the average dual-core intel laptop from this gen :P

Yeah you're right but if I'm going to play KOTOR 2 I'll probably end up playing the first one too.

Yeah that's my intention to play alone but I know that you have to be connected to the server thats why i asked. I remember playing Diablo 2 in the 90s or rather early 2000s and was really sad I may not get to play 3 but now! woohoo!! definitely picking Diablo over Guildwars. Thanks

And Thanks everyone for great suggestions, there's quite a few I'll probably end up getting!

Well some of my favourite games are Alan Wake, Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, Mass Effect 1, Dragon Age, Arkham Series, Skyrim among others but I've played them and these games require high graphics. That's why I don't know what to ask for. Can I play Dark Souls on my pc specs? Also what about the new Walking Dead and Civilization: Gods and Kings and Alan Wake: American Nightmare?

I suppose when it comes to pc and not that high graphics, I've enjoyed SimCity, Theme Hospital, Spore, RPGs if it's possible, I really like puzzle games that make you think like Monkey Island and Runaway (looks like a real McGyver game).

Has anyone played Endless Space and Risen 2?

It passes the system requirements for dark souls, they are very low, but keep in mind that it will probably be an horrid port Did you played Risen 1? Then probably try the Gothic series

I did play Risen 1 on xbox few years back, a little of it anyway and to be frank, I thought it was crap. It seems Risen is generally prefered as opposed to Gothic. I'm looking into Civilization 5, it's got a fantastic rating and good graphics.

Oh don't judge Gothic by the ratings, it's an european game, so the american press has to underrate it lol jk Go forward with Civ V :D, it's an outstanding game, have fun! :)

Why don't you play Portal, portal2 and mirror's edge(not sure about it) if you like puzzle games? Max payne 2, hitman series, prince of persia the 2 thrones, Oblivion are all major titles that your system can hopefully run.

Hope it helps.

I freaking loved Portal 2! best puzzle game ever! Hitman and Max Payne series are one of my favourite series, oh the memories. Played Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands, the puzzles weren't challenging and the gameplay was mediocre (god i hate picking up the orbs!). Oblivion was the first RPG of its kind I played and I was blown away. Skyrim was probably the best game created based on fun I had and the gameplay time ratio. You have great taste!

Thanks! Actually i suggested those games because they are this much old that an old machine can them. But looks like you have played them all.

BTW i've played risen 2, risen and gothic 3. Risen was a great game with lovely environment and tough gameplay. No one has ever able to makean RPG like gothic 3 with such a big world, marvellous sountracks and tonnes of quests. It comes with tonnes of technical support though.

Finally Risen 2 is a pirate adventure. You'll have hack and slash style for sword fights. Pirate shotguns are included too. Game picks up a slow start and is difficult to play at start but when it gets smooth, Risen 2 is just the RPG.

Here some of the other games that you can check on:

Call of Duty - MW

Bulletstorm

Freedom Fighters

James Bond - Bloodstone

I don't remember much games of low requirements.

Hmmm I don't know Risen doesn't look very convincing now, I'll watch some Gothic 3 videos and see. Dude I loved Bulletstorm man! the dialogue! the gameplay, everything. Such a great recommendation too bad I've played it. Not sure if I mentioned earlier but No COD and Medal of Honor games for me. I wouldn't mind trying Battlefield 3 but I'm sure my system can't handle it. Freedom Fighters looks pretty dodgy for the graphics. I know you're suggestion games according to my system but I can't go back to that graphics. I'll just stick to Civilization/SimCity type games I guess. Bloodstone graphics look good, I'll be checking that out.

Medal of honor (allied assault with expansions and pacific assault) and vietcong.

alan_carter

Sorry man no Medal of Honor for me.

P.S. I was just wondering a few things, can my pc could sustain Fallout 3? Is there any PS3 game that came out for PC but not xbox? And are there any good SimCity like games that are not that old?

Not a fan of Half Life, played Deus Ex Human Revolution (Loved it, the soundtrack was awesome!) and still considering Mount and Blade, Thanks man.

Timeshift's graphics looks dated but totally digging the bullet time! Will watch more for further convincing. Oh btw, watched some more Bloodstone gameplay vids and it looks freaking awesome man! it's like Splinter Cell meets Hitman, thanks suggesting that!
