Also if you say your not an "IT sort of guy" therefore not comfortable with installing hardware components, they it would be best for you to buy a prebuilt gaming machine, rather than build it.

No. He should build it himself. He's a man and real men build their own machines. Besides, it's not difficult; I built my first rig all on my own and it works just fine. Also, he'll save money if he builds it himself. Hey, Op. Since money is not a concern, I'll select some parts for you. How's that sound?

Since you said money is no issue, here's a monster build. However, later I'll provide a cheaper alternative.

1. Intel Core i7-950 and ASUS P6X58D-E Motherboard combo

2. G.SKILL Ripjaws DDR3 6GB 1600MHz RAM

3. Galaxy GTX580

4. Antec DF-85 Case, Antec 750W PSU, & Seagate 1.5TB HDD - Combo

5. Windows 7 64-bit 1-Pack (OEM)

6. LG DVD Burner

Total:$1,664.90

Do you need a monitor?

Be a man! Forge your parts deep in the depths of Mordor with only the finest rare metals found in China (Unless you live in Japan where you may have difficulty obtaining these fine metals).

Im aware of the challenges in PC building, Ive built one myself. I just suggested it may be the best option if he isnt confident with it.
