Recommend PC speakers please.

Anybody know some good speakers for playing PC games such as Battlefield 3?

Would like the price to be around £50.

For £50 you'd be better off with headphones, I really don't think there are any good speakers for that price.

Are you aware of any carriers that ship from the US to the UK? In Norway we have Jet Carrier. They send cargo via ship, by giving us a "fake" US address. pick up the item and send it via ship (costs $50 for up to 50kg, 50-100kg is like $70, 100-200kg is like $100)

I don't know any good speakers that are available in the UK at that price point. the US had a Dayton speaker/amp combo for $60 which is £40 or so, then add the cost of shipping isn't too much over your budget.

At least in Norway the cheapest decent speakers start around £80 (Argon)

There's always options if you look at old amplifiers. Sound quality hasn't improved since the analog days, so an amplifier from the 60s can sound just as good --- if not better than a modern one!

Now I'm going to assume you'll have to pay a lot more than those numbers up there, but I'm sure the owners will agree to a price under £50 so your stereo setup shouldn't exceed the £100 mark. These may be aged, but will sound better than any new crap you can buy today.

Use the analog outputs to connect to your PC/TV/console whatever.

Rotel is a great brand of amplifiers and their designs are pretty, really great sound for the buck. I'm sure there's more options, I found plenty of results just by searching for Rotel. Nad and Cambridge, 3 well known brands for delieverign high quality stereo products for a reasonable sum. There you go, you've got about a dozen to chose from. As I said, they'll all handle stereo sound better than any kind of junk logitech or so, and they'll even do a better job than entry level receivers.

Anyway, I think my Denon was a good investment since I paid £250 plus £25 for a 5 year warranty for a reciever that cost more like £400 when it was released.
