Hey all,

Looking at getting a decent gaming keyboard/mouse for my new rig. I'm not into macros or anything very hardcore, just a modest keyboard/mouse that i can do college papers/programming assignments on and jump into an FPS or RTS. The feature that I really want is for the keyboard to be illumintated so i can type in the dark :P

Budget for the keyboard/mouse combo is $100

Any recommendations?

Also, I'm in the market for a decent monitor, Asus seems to be popular on Newegg. Anyone own any? Budget for monitor is $200 and anywhere from 21 inches & up.

Any help is much appreciated!

The rig is behaving well, haven't had any issues thus far with it, my first build as well!

I really liked the Logitech MX518 - I used it for like 4 years and it never gave me a problem :) I also found the Razer Deathadder to be very comfortable and used it for 2 years or so. I've also seen people here using the R.A.T. 5 / 7 mice.

As for keyboards.. I'm not really sure. There's the Logitech G110, Cyborg V5, and many others. I myself still use an old Zboard.

Razor Deathadder is definately the best mid-range mouse I've ever used. Very comfortable and performs well.

For keyboards Microsoft Sidewinder

For mouse mx518

Monitor, unless you plan on spending a chunk of change, just pick one in the 120-200 range.

thanks, i'm definitely looking to get the mx518 mouse so that's a done deal still a little torn on the keyboards...gonna compare them, MS sidewinder vs G110 vs Cyborg v5 as for monitor...i'm really thinking of just waiting and getting the PS3 3d monitor bundle with resistance 3 that comes out this fall
