Killing floor is a great game whereas Left 4 Dead is a superb game.
you should still totally get killing floor tho, its great fun. 6 player zombie killin cooprative fun. Much like L4D, killing floor is updated with free content often.
With the danger of getting a lot of hate here: The Zombie mode in Call of Duty: World at War and Black Ops is great with some friends. You might also look forward to Dead Island, but I'm still not sure if that will be really good.
Recommendations for Zombies......try the office of Ubisoft. Otherwise if u don't want to travel, then sit back and go for Killing Floor, really good MP zombie game.
Yeah killing floor is a really strong title almost kept under the shadows of left 4 dead, theres dead island soon too, not exactly the same, but similar, dead rising 2, also not the same genre but still fun.
I had high hopes for Dead Rising 2, but I was very disappointed in the game. I felt rushed because of the ever-present timer you had to contend with. Bleh. I would also suggest taking a look at Project Zomboid. Tecnically, it isn't a zombie shooter, but a zombie survival game with crafting and such similar to Terraria. Not sure when it releases though.

I would also suggest taking a look at Project Zomboid. Tecnically, it isn't a zombie shooter, but a zombie survival game with crafting and such similar to Terraria. Not sure when it releases though. yes, project zomboid looks awesome and that dev team has gone through hell to get it done.

weird. also you know you could have gotten Killing Floor on STEAM so you wouldnt have had to wait. im pretty sure the retail version requires it as well.
As people have mentioned, Killing Floor is a great shooter, pretty cheap too.
Project Zomboid is a nice little indie title (though it's still very early in development) and Zombie Panic: Source is always fun for a romp and it's a free mod.
As others have said, Project Zomboid is very good to. Its still early on but its got the same kind of release as Minecraft did. Pay now and you get a lifetime subscription, also the price will go up when it fully releases later on, so now is a good time to get it.
There was also a big update over the weekend, for things such as character Cla$$es,etc...
^ Project Zomboid would be it if you're into that kind of game design and overall setup. But as far as a zombie game similar to Left 4 Dead.. there is none. I don't find Killing Floor to be remotely similar to L4D series at all. They're completely different to me. KF's mutants or zombies or whatever, are very obscure looking freaks of nature. More like a government experiment splicing gone wrong haha. Anyways, get Project Zomboid if you want anything zombie or wait for Dead Island.

I believe DR2 is coming out with some sort of patch/expansion to have a mode for unlimited play. I agree with Zomboid though.
Just make sure you know what your getting yourself into before you buy Project Zombiod. If your looking for a game like L4D you will be disappointed as PZ has more in common with the first Resident Evils. That being said it is a super fun game if your into sandbox survival and don't mind dated graphics.
