I have a question for those who, like me, are Red Faction fans...

Can anyone, please, help me with Red Faction 2 ? I'm on 4 level (THE BRIDGE), and I don't know how to throw a satchel on the pillar and how to destroy concrete casings on the pylons. Maybe I just don't know to switch from grenade to satchel...I picked up satchels from everywhere I found it...I just don't know how to make thinks work. I set up cheats, and I can leave this level , but I want to finish it , please, please.
