I couldnt fit the entire name of the topic in the space alloted but i recently reformatted but a while back i purchased S.T.A.L.K.E.R. thru steam so i never had a hard copy of it.

My question is will i stil be able to play even though i reformatted? while im typing this i probably realize that if i log onto steam...look my "my games" list...i may see STALKER and just have to re-download it. but unfortunately i am at work so i cant do that.

anyone have this happen? any help would be appreciated.

The games are attached to your account, so you'll still have those games. You just have to re-download them.

there is backup option that allows u to store the games on a disc and then restore them of something goes a bit fluffy with ure PC or steam itself. quite a handy thing. itll even divide up the file into smaller ones of its too big for a CD or DVD.

That is so handy. You can just re-format and leave your comp on for a day or so while you do other things and it will periodicly install all your games for you. Without you having to dig out disks, and spend a a few days patching ect.

But then it's a pain you need to download it, rather than install it in 10 mins. Good and bad I suppose.

Yea usually i put em on a disc, but if i dont then downloading them again isnt that big of a deal to me, as Steam is ually always 500k + for me downloading.
