hi guys im having probs with vista dell isnt helping n im taking matters into my own hands i know its a vid driver issue of y im getting a blue screen im gona get a coppy of winds xp ultimate 64bit will i still get this issuie after unistalling vista and putting xp on because im running a xps630 with 2xgeforce9800gt's sli enabled i just want to kno some paths i should go down on i only had this comp for a day n i get this prob wut do u guys think i should do

He can't if he doesnt have the software. If he bought it from dell, they wouldn't give him the vista CD and key. XP X64 is good for new systems, but not older ones. Xp is more stable than vista, overall. Vista's security is also wayyy too paranoid and annoying.

Get windows xp x64 if you want an OS that doesnt eat half a gig of memory. Vista is ok, but you may hate the interface like I do. Dan is right about the annoying security. When you want to do anything, it asks you if you are sure, and it sometimes says you don't have admin's permission when you are the administrator. Vista is no big jump from xp at all.

they told me it could hav most likly been the udates for vista that i dowloaded but either way my aunt is shipping it back n they are gona send me a new one so idk this is strike 1 strike to i ask for my money backand use my 1600 toward building my own

Building your own would be the best bet. You'll save more and have the OS in your hands just incase something goes terribly wrong.

yea it really is but its my aunt who wanted to get me the comp so im stuck in the middle ima see 4 now once it comes back cuz they said it was mostlikly the updates or a couple of issues n they also told me to disable them when i get my new comp so vista doesnt update cuz they are still not fully corrected do u think i will have another blue screen again once they ship me a new one cuz it was fine for one day before i started updating vista
