**Re-match Poll** - PC Bragging Rights: GTA San Andreas vs GTA Vice City

I wasn't happy with the original Poll because I failed to mention not to include user mods with the Polls.

So here we go, which of these monster games is the best on PC (without mods)?

I'm going with option 3 again because I haven't played San Andreas on the PC (or anywhere for that matter ;) )

At stake: A date with big D in the quarterfinals.

Half-Life 2 is in the Final 4 (1999-2005), having soundly defeated Battlefield 2

Vice City, again.

Better missions, atmosphere, soundtrack, and focus than San Andreas. The only 2 things SA has over Vice City is the amount of content and the improved combat, but it's the weakest in the series IMO. (Only meaning the 3D era and beyond)

Agreed. For me, it's GTA IV> GTA SA MP> GTA VC> GTA III> GTA SA(haven't plaed any of the pre-III GTAs. Don't look appealling to me)

Vice City for me. All the same reasons as Mo0ksi.

San Andreas because I actually have it ATM and I play it pretty extensively. The sheer amount of content in the game tips it in SA's favor. Both games are winners in my book, though.

Honestly I think that the reason that people vote vice city is simply because it came first...

I think people are not giving san andreas the credit it deserves...it was massive and had a lot of stuff to do..vice city was more quirky

I think san andreas is the better game, but that vice city made san andreas possible so its kind of a tie

I prefer Vice City, purely because it wasn't "YO DAWG LET'S BOUNCE." They tried too hard to make it "modern" and "hip" and compeltely got rid of the humor that Vice City had.

San Andreas was better in every aspect, people just love to cling on the nostalgia of crap 80's songs and/or they didn't like the protagonist in SA.dont-read-this

I think it's a fair argument to say that Vice City is the better game because it has a better atmosphere/vibe and a better, more interesting, funnier protagonist.

I didn't like neither nor did I like GTA III. Those three 3D GTA games were horribly underdeveloped for my taste, with a control scheme that I found simply too atrocious to bear.

GTA: SA. Best in series and my favourite game of all time. Played it for like 500 hours and without ever trying to get 100%.

I liked san adreas more.. more gameplay choices.

not at all, san andreas started great but once you left the hood went off on a completely unexpected tangent that seemed unrelated to the initial game theme. one minute im in the hood, my brother gets took into custody but rather than bust him out of jail im goin out to the country stealing combine harvesters from hillbillies, then going to a new city opening up a garage with a newly met hippy and his whacky friends.

it just made no sense to me and seemed all the game was concerned about was making it as long as humanly possibly at the expense of plausibility. plus carl johnson had all the charisma and intelligence of a turnip. i could go on but cant be bothered listing all the many other problems i had with the game.

vice city was nigh on perfect and by far the best gta game for me, sa the worst

Some of you guys really need to take a second and read my first post, so when I declare a winner, SA will have 1 less vote than what is shows.

Right now Vice City is winning by 2, maybe 3.......did SA have multiplayer out of the box?

San Andreas is better:)

San Andreas got the open world bit perfectly, but Vice City got the 80's vibe. The music was just stellar across the board, and the other radio stations (VCPR) were totally hilarious.

i find gta on pc to be terrible... the mosue camera movement in cars is out of place,

But the better game of those 2 for me is san andreas, just so much stuff to do in it
