How do I take a game out of my Steam games list? The Team Fortress 2 Beta has been in there for years, and I own Team Fortress 2, so it's not like I'll ever have a reason to install it, and I don't even know where I got it in the first place. Any way to get it out of there?

I don't think there is any way to remove games from your library, since that is a complete list of all the games you own - even the freebies like TF2 beta and CS beta. There is a way of shrinking your list by using the "Category" option. I used this for Indie games bought in various bundles that were cluttering up my main games list - so I now have 1 expandable entry for Indie games which is out of the way most of the time. If you have a lots of games in your library it can take a while to setup Categories how you want them, but if you are a bit OCD then it does tidy it up :)

When this happened to me, I had to uninstall STEAM, delete any leftover directories, and reinstall.

After you uninstall you just have to leave it there. Ignore it.

I never looked to see if you could do that. I'll have to do the same. Too many games after the sale they just had.

Use the favourites to display the games you play and hide the games you dont.

You can contact support to remove a game that you purchased, although I don't think you can remove the TF2 Beta. Just ignore it, everyone has it.

What I do is I created a category in 'detail view' called betas so I can minimize it and hide all the betas there;)

Why would anyone want to remove a game you bought?

I have CS:Source beta listed on mine lol.. but it's not a big deal. It's only one thing.. and if your library is like mine then you have to scroll anyway so one extra game doesn't mean anything.

Instead of having a list of your library change it to installed then just uninstall whatever you don't want on the list. Then you'll see only what you want.

You can just display installed games, or recently played games only.

Why would anyone want to remove a game you bought?

Because it sucks and you wish to have only quality games in your library.
