I made a few small scratches on my motherboard while trying to install a new CPU cooler (H100). They didn't break any paths but there is some underlay that is exposed. Is there something that I can use to repair the scratches? My board is dark. Thanks!

Edit: I just want something that can cover the exposed spots.

How did you manage to damaged the board by installing a cooler?

The mounting system for the block is garbage. I couldn't get some of the screws to sit secure so I could tighten them. They scratched the board. You'd think with the number of years these companies have been making CPU coolers that they'd come up with a simple and consistent mounting system. Need four arms with some of these ridiculous setups.

Electrical tape over it or hot glue.

Hot glue would probably be best.

If you ever tear a trace, I hear good things about thesehttp://www.amazon.com/CircuitWriterTM-Precision-Pen-silver-based-grams/dp/B0002BBVQO/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

just use masking tape whenever using a trace pen...

though it might just be easier to RMA and keep hush.

Clear nail varnish will work fine, it's pretty much the same thing anyway (as the lacquer on he motherboard you scratched) and is non conductive.
