Ive voted no but I have sometimes felt that older games just werent as impressive second time around. But thats very very rare!
I recently installed DosBOX on my company laptop (not supposed to, naughty naughty) and downloaded shareware versions of DOOM for old times sake. Still managed to suck me in, much to my suprise.
Also I downloaded a shareware (unfortunately!) version of Death Rally. What a game! Unfortunately it only took me about 45minutes to fully upgrade the third car ... which is where the shareware ends. Cant find a full version to buy anywhere :(

If only they'd all work. Anything using the infinity engine glitches on my nvidia 8800GT, System Shock 2 crashes as soon as the game starts, and neither Day of the Tentacle or Sam & Max will even get that far...
At lest there are decent emulators out there, what would I do without a bit of SNES every once in a while?

Have you tried using scummvm for Day of the tentacle and sam and max?

No I confess I haven't; I've only had the internet at home for the last couple of years and had already kinda given up on those two by then. I shall investigate.
