Hey all

I am trying to play Star Wars: Republic Commando on my pc but everytime it finishes the loading screen, the computer just goes back to windows and just runs everything else as normal.

Is there any solution to this as the game should be able to work on this:

Intel Pentium E2160 dual core (2X 1.8Ghz)
nVidia 8600GT 256mb
Onboard sound
Windows XP SP2
Direct X9 latest version

Thanks

Make sure your game is patched to the latest version, and that your video card drivers are up to date.

If you've done that and it still isn't working, just a guess, but it might be related to the fact that you're using a dual-core processor with an older game (which pretty commonly causes problems.) Open up the task manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) after the game launches and find the game process. Right click the process..go to "set affinity" or "set priority" and untick one of your processor cores.

Edit: I doubt it'll help, since I've never heard of anyone with a dual-core processor having issues with Unreal Engine 2.0. Not really sure what the problem could be.

Try turning bump mapping off and see if that works.

hmmm it works for me. I got dual core and an 8000 series as well.

Uninstall, reinstall, patch, then try it once more.
