Resident Evil 4 for PC!!!

The game is great but port to PC is appaling, there is no mouse support and in that scene when boulder is coming after me I don't know what key to press because console commands were not translated to PC keyboard control.

All walkthroughs under Resident Evil 4 for PC are stupidly only for console.

Also I downloaded mouse aim mod 1.2 but it doesn't work...

I agree, this port really blows, one of the worst I have ever seen. I got the mouse mod to work, but it really doesn't help... So I just wouldn't bother with it lol.

its because of ubisoft they ported the game and they didn't even test it.
if capcom had done it then it wasdefinitly a must have ;)

still, you can always buy a gamepad for PC..androgenik

Go to the RE4 board for some tips and get the keyboard button replacer. This displays the actual keypresses instead of the console buttons.

It feels hard at first but soon you'll realise that there are only 2 key combinations that you need to remember throughout the game.

I found out that in order to patch the game with EU patch 1.1 I have to do this-

I patched the NETSHOW release with EURO patch. However, I did have to do two things first.

1. Go to your start menu->run->regedit, then go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARECAPCOMbiohazard 4
and rename it to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARECAPCOMResident Evil 4

2. Find the euro version original unpatched game.exe (which I can't find anymore. Damn.) and put it in installation folder before patching.

After that patch did its magic (took 5-10 minutes though) and it worked.

Hmm, interesting. I was going to get the PC version but if there is no mouse support, can gamepads really aid the game? I have heard also the patch makes things better like the graphics etc being improved from the first release?

If not, I think I may avoid buying this.

I only got round to buying it recently. Installed the 1.10 patch, used a 360 controller and enjoyed it.

Might not be as great in terms of story and setting in comparison to the other games that felt a lot darker, but it was still good.

Never seen as much extra content in a game either.
