Nope. Impressive character models, but everything else is low-resolution and doesn't stand out.GodLovesDead
Correct. The textures are so grey and dull and what not.
Does anyone else think that the gameplay is like almost identical to RE4?!

You say that like it's a bad thingThe character models were nicely detailed, but very rigidly animated I'd say. There's more to it than sheer Graphical quality though. Artistic style goes further than graphical power IMO, which that just looks bland. Also, I don't know whether it was just the video or not but I got the impression that the frame rates dropped whenever there was any action at all. Crysis is far better graphically.
CoD 4 looks better than that XD except the character models (FarCry 2 will be better :P) and Crysis is even better than FC2(but not much).
God I hope, FC 2 gets released faster :) can't wait for it.
Nice charector models but sucky textures. And I have to say that that player couldn't play for crap. He was AWFULL. He must have been playing on easy and still missed most of his shots, never aimed for the head and only kicked once :S.
Hope they have decent mouse support for the PC port.

Wow! Besides the horrible texture resolutions on everything but the characters, that controller movement and aiming speed would drive me to suicide!!!

Tell me about it, I swear the guy's thunbs wern't moving and he was using his arms or something.
Ya I think it does have better graphics in a few areas. Looked very impressive. However, you have to consider the technology behind Crysis when making these kinds of comparisions.
RE5 seems to have pretty static environments, and we don't know how large the levels are. Also, I really did not see much in that video in term of advanced physics. Also, the AI appeared to be pretty braindead. Those flying things were just basically "fly to right, stop, fly to the left, stop, repeat, repeat, ect". It also is appears the game is very scripted in nature.
Crysis, on the otherhand, is a technical marvel that not only has superb graphics, but has HUGE levels, destructable environments, massive visability range, advanced physics, advanced AI, and things that really take a lot of processing power. It's a sandbox game whereas RE5 is probably (don't know for sure but looks that way from video) a very scripted and static game.
It's better to compare RE5 to games like GOW2 or other similar type games...
hahahahahha
yes it beats Crysis completly,
Crysis cant even compete with its
dynamic day-night cycles
fully interactive enviroments
sunrays + diffuse transmisions
realtime soft shadows
soft particles
interactive-destructable enviroments
volumetric clouds
advanced shader technology
1km + draw distance
Depth of field
object motion blur
etc etc
Yeah Resident Evil 5 beats crysis completly

But even these "impresive characther models" are easily bether in Crysis
For sure. But you have to atleast admit they're impressive for a 360/PS3 game.
