lol no. Larger resolutions simply allow for more detail and sharper images for larger displays.

I've heard that CRT monitors at lower Hz can make you get a headache from looking at it for a while. I'm not sure about LCDs though. I don't even think they run in Hz. Correct me if I'm wrong there

yeah, well lcd's havea response time, but not a refresh rate and they don't run on Hz. and no resolution won't affect your eyes. (not unless you are using a very high resolution on a small monitor and have to strain your eyes to see things or something silly like that)

edit:well it appears that I am wrong haha. i was under the impression that lcds were measured in hz, but that would be false i take it haha

You are such and idiot. Every monitor runs in a certain range of frequencies [Hz].

shmok, he clearly said that he wasnt 100% sure and tocorrect him if he was wrong, you don't have to be insulting

Nope, LCDs have a refresh rate measured in Hz, just like CRTs. Refresh rate is the number of times per second the display can draw an entire screen/frame. You can think of it as essentially being the "maximum framerate". The reason LCDs don't hurt your eyes like CRTs is because of the way they are lit. In a CRT, the screen is only lit when the electron guns are firing; in between those times, the screen is dark (Google "persistence of vision"). This flickering effect is what can hurt your eyes and cause headaches. LCDs don't have this problem because their screens are being constantly backlit by flourescent bulbs, so they never actually flicker.

I would wager that lower resolutions (480x600?) on modern games would effect your eyesight.
