Well after moving up to Fort McMurray, Alberta for a 4 month workterm, I decided to have my gaming computer shipped up. After waiting 11 days for it, it finally arived and I was estatic. I went to the Purolator Depot and picked it, first noticing the box was slightly damaged. I got home, removed it from the box and to my shock, the case was damaged pretty badly. First a moving panel on the front was completely cracked off and the door protecting my CD/DVD rom drives wouldn't close anymore. Then I inspected the rest of the case and found that the top had been dented twice, the left side panel was now buckling outwards slightly and that the back panel was buckled slightly inwards. After panicking a bit, I quickly tried to start up the system but all that occured was the spinning off the fans and nothing at all. So I took the case panel off (Finding most of the case clasps had been bent/broken off) and began to troubleshoot. I finally was able to get it to boot once more but it quickly shut down soon after. So I decided to begin the painful task of troubleshooting. After using my friends computer, I found out that the processor was now officially dead. That being so means that I have to now replace my memory, motherboard, processor, and case. (S939 so time for an upgrade)

Currently, I'm looking for parts and have come up with this AM2 5200+ X2, ASUS M2R32-MVP, OCZ Gold XTC PC2-6400 (2x1GB), and the Antec Nine Hundred Gamer Case. My budget isn't unlimited so don't go saying "Buy this, buy that, it only costs 200 dollars more) but give any advice you want to give.

Also, I'm Canadian so please only use Canadian vendors/prices.

Well I don't want to spend the extra for the Core 2 Duo and the AMD's are not bad for gaming although they do pail in comparison. Plus, both companies are gearing to release their new processors in the fall and I need something to hold me out until then so I thought it was the right choice. Plus, intel boards are hard to come across with crossfire ability.

As for the courier, I have filled a claim on it for the price of processor and case.

Yes I built it but as for the parts, they are outdated and I was hoping to upgrade a bit. Plus, the case is a goner so no chance for a return there.

This is why you don't have your computer shipped.. Asshats will throw the box around just to hear something break.
I'm sure you can find a replacement processor and fix... some... of the dents and bends.

BTW... cursing out the shipper could land him in some ****... as it sounds like hes in the CAN military.

Nah, not military. Fort McMurray is just a town name in Northern Alberta. I'm actually working as a student intern for one of the oil companies up here.
