I am on a quest to play some old classics, you may ask why? well, the reason is because of planescape torment, i was completely ignorant to these games because modern games have spoiled me, better graphics and general gameplay. After hyping Dragon age to the end of the earth and after completing it, it left me with a sour/awkward feeling, it was great, but not as much as i expected. So i bought Planescape, thinking wtf am i getting myself into, played the first 30 minutes and shivered in horror, but i forced myself to continue, i am currently in the undead/ghoul/skeleton land and all i can say is !O_O! this game is ENTERTAINING!

I thought i would never have this kind of feeling ever again, the experience is actually refreshing and awkward at the same time, awkward because this "special gaming feeling" was dead for quite some time untill now, and its weird that a classic old outdated game has managed to resurect this feeling while modern games have failed to do so.

I wonder if i will enjoy games like Deux ex, baldurs gate, and the fallout games, but i'm afraid i may be too spoiled by modern tech, anyone feel the same?

All those games are great classics and I really recommend you try them. The graphics may be kinda weak but the story and gameplay more than make up for that. Nowadays though it's the opposite, where most games have incredible graphics but the gameplay and story are just bad.

You were able to find a copy of Planescape? But anyway, the best course of action is to find out yourself. At least many Finish retailers still carry Baldur's Gate and Fallout Collections for a very generous price. In my opinion they are just as good as they were when they came out. Majority of recent RPGs just don't compare to them. And it's not just RPGs, many old adventure games are still awesome. Their humor hasn't aged.

Planescape had a recent retail re-release with XP and Vista support and everything.

Yes Amazon are selling it, and i gotta agree with both of you, having never played old PC games before i am schocked at how much i am enjoying myself, not for nostalgias sake but simply because modern games feel like they have no substance, and its weird and exciting having to resort to old gaming classics to get that "true gaming feeling" back again.

awkward? Dragon Age and Planescape are both excellent games, Planescape being an all time classic that has aged well.

Have you noticed how the isometric camera of DA gives the same feeling as the Infinity Engine games?
