Hello, my friend just started to play Oblivion and has noticed that when he right clicks, the character spins through 180 degrees or at the very least by some degree (it varies) making the game damn hard to play. It seems to happen in Sins of a Solar Empire as well. He is running vista and has tried two different mice, yet the same problem exists. anyone know of the cause or a solution? Thanks.

He has an antivirus installed and its pretty much a brand new build except for messengers and the like. A virus is possible i guess, will bug him about that when he gets in lol Could it be a mouse setting somewhere that vista doesnt like?

Yeah he has tryed two different mice, a wired USB one and a wireless USB one. Both do exactly the same thing. The mouse even moves the cursor across the desktop when it rite clicks, only by small amounts but still :P Ive never come across anything like it.

I had a similar problem in 2005 with the release of the king kong game. My view would just spin in 360 cirlces automatically. With some testing, I managed to find the problem. It didnt seem to like the game controller I had plugged in. If you have any game controllers plugged in, USB, PS/2, etc, unplug them and restart the game. Hope it works.
